Image Best Practices for Your Website
High quality images help your website look polished, professional, and trustworthy. To ensure we can deliver the best results, please follow these guidelines when providing photos.
General Guidelines for All Images
Provide Full Resolution Files
Always send the highest resolution version of each image. Avoid screenshots, compressed downloads, or images pulled from social media, as these reduce clarity and introduce artifacts.
Use Landscape Orientation
Most website sections are designed for wide images. Landscape photos give us more flexibility for backgrounds, banners, and layout designs.
Center the Main Subject
Try to position the main focus of the photo near the center of the frame. This prevents important elements from being cropped out during responsive design adjustments.
Use the Highest Camera Quality
If using a cell phone, make sure the camera is set to its highest quality. Check your camera settings for
-
Maximum resolution
-
High efficiency or RAW if available
-
Clean lens before shooting
Team and Profile Images
Portrait Orientation Accepted
Team member photos may be provided in portrait orientation, since these are used in profile boxes rather than banners.
Professional Photography Recommended
For team portraits, owners, trucks, and brand assets, we suggest using a professional photographer. High quality, consistent images create a strong impression and help unify your brand.
Action and On site Photos
Cell Phone Images Are Acceptable
Action shots of technicians at work can be taken with a phone. These real world images add authenticity. Just be sure they follow the practices above.
Capture Clean and Clear Scenes
Whenever possible:
-
Ensure good lighting
-
Avoid cluttered backgrounds
-
Keep the subject in focus
-
Hold the camera steady
