MarkUp Guide & Best Practices

How to Use the MarkUp Website Revision Tool

Please watch this short video on how to use this tool to send revisions in to our team.
  • Simply click on the relevant part of the webpage
  • A comment box will pop up for you to type your feedback
  • After adding the comment, use the paperclip icon to attach any files
  • To comment on a different page, switch the slider at the top from "COMMENT" to "BROWSE," navigate to the page, and switch back to "COMMENT" to continue.
  • You will receive an email when edits are completed, or if a developer requires additional clarification to complete the revision.
Please note: If you have not yet received your MarkUp link, please contact your CSM or Coordination representative for the link.

 Best Practices

To get the most out of using MarkUp, please keep these points in mind:

▶️ Maps may look broken
Embedded maps (like Google Maps) do not display inside MarkUp. Don’t worry — they will appear correctly on your live site.

▶️ Scripts and embed codes

If you need to provide us with scripts (such as booking widgets, chat, or other embed codes), please place them in a plain text document and upload it as an attachment in MarkUp.

▶️ View your site directly for the best experience

MarkUp is great for leaving comments, but the frame it uses can sometimes cause layout or sizing issues. For the most accurate view, open your full staging site link in your browser, then return to MarkUp to leave your feedback.
