Uploading a Contact List in Bullseye Pro

Purpose: This article outlines the full process of uploading a contact list into Bullseye Pro for use in an outbound campaign. It includes steps for file formatting, CSV conversion, tagging, bulk import, and campaign assignment.

 

1. Import Contacts

  1. Click on the Contacts tab in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Import Contacts located at the top of your contact list.


  3. If your file is not in CSV format, open a new tab and go to Google Sheets:

    • Open a blank spreadsheet.

    • Click File > Import > Upload, then select the file.

    • Make sure the first row is a header row (e.g., First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, and email).

    • Name the sheet.

    • Click File > Download > Comma-separated values (.csv).


3. Upload CSV File

  1. Back in Bullseye Pro, drag and drop or click to upload your CSV file.

  2. Click Next to move to field mapping.


4. Map Fields

  1. Ensure the following are correctly matched to the same feilds in BEP:

    • First Name → First Name

    • Last Name → Last Name

    • Phone Number → Phone

    • Email Address → Email
  2. Ignore all other fields.

  3. Click Next.


5. Tag the Import (Important for Segmenting)

  1. Click Add tags to imported contacts.

  2. Create a unique tag (e.g., OB_List_Mar2025) to identify this group later.

    ⚠️ DO NOT use the same tag that triggers any automation. 

  3. Confirm this list has permission to receive messages (consent checkbox).

  4. Click Start Bulk Import.


📊 Verify the Upload

  1. Go to Bulk Actions to check progress.

  2. Click Show Stats to see how many contacts were successfully uploaded or failed.

  3. Once the status shows Complete, proceed.


🧠 Optional: Find and Filter Your List

  1. Go to Smart Lists.

  2. Use More Filters > Tag and select the one you just created.

  3. Apply the filter.

  4. Select all contacts shown in the filtered view.


🚀 Add Contacts to Campaign (Optional)

  1. With contacts selected and the Automation Published, click Add to Automation.

  2. In the popup:

    • Choose the correct Client OB Campaign.

    • Choose Add in drip mode.

    • Enter a description (e.g., "March OB Campaign").

    • Choose a start date and time.

    • Set a batch quantity (e.g., 25 per batch).

    • Choose the frequency (e.g., every hour).

    • Select days of the week and time range (recommended: 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM local time).

  3. Click Add to Automation.

  4. Confirm with OK.


🔍 Final QC

  1. Go to Bulk Actions > Show Stats.

  2. Click View Details to confirm:

    • Date/time

    • Contact count

    • Assigned campaign

    • Drip settings
